Since joining Chelsea for £7,000,000 from Rennes in 2004, Cech has worked to take on the main goalkeeping duties from Carlo Cudicini making 492 appearances for the West London Club in all competitions and has become world football star, showing off his world class skills week in week out.
However since Chelsea decided to retain Thibaut Courtois and not loan him out after he had spent consecutive seasons at Atletico Madrid, Petr Cech position as the main Chelsea keeper has been hindered.
There have already been rumours about Cech leaving Chelsea in the summer, since the beginning of the 2014-15 season, but since Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich gave permission for Cech to join “any team he wants” the rumours are suddenly becoming more and more convicting.
There are rumours coming from various sources, and although some may seem unlikely, they shouldn't be ruled out as after all, it will be Cech’s choice this summer, and the question will be whether it is playing time is all he is after or not.
According to The Sun, “Southampton are interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, 32, on loan this season as injury cover for Fraser Forster, 27, who is out for up to a year with a broken kneecap”
Whereas the Daily Mail believe that it will be Arsenal that will be making a swoop for the Chelsea stopper this summer but “Southampton are interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, 32, on loan this season as injury cover for Fraser Forster, 27, who is out for up to a year with a broken kneecap”
It is also believed that Roma will be battling it out with Arsenal this summer for the experienced Czech keeper, and according to Daily Telegraph, Roma “”are leading the chase” to sign Cech in the summer.
It will be very interesting to see whether Cech will leave Chelsea on a loan move, permanently or whether he will leave at all. If he does, Chelsea fans may see his move to Arsenal as disputable, however we can sure say that Petr Cech fans, will be in full support regardless of where he decides to go this summer.
