East Fife beat East Stirling in heated eight-goal thriller
East Fife came out 5-3 on top against East Stirling in a topsy-turvy Scottish League Two clash which saw three players sent off at the Bayview Stadium.
The lead changed hands four times after Kyle Wilkie headed the home side into an 11th-minute lead but goals from Ross Gilmour and Reece Donaldson - two more headers - turned the score in East Stirling's favour before the break.
Jamie Insall fired home Gary Naysmith's corner after 54 minutes to level for the hosts a minute before he was show a straight red card for a foul on Reece Donaldson to leave the Fifers with 10 men.
The Shire's Reece Donaldson equalised Nathan Austin's strike just after the hour to make it 3-3 before Pat Slattery slotted in Jonathan Page's assist two minutes later.
But the drama was not over yet as the away side lost Donaldson and Aron Lynas to red cards - both for a second bookable offences - while Austin netted his second and his side's fifth as East Fife moved up to second.
