Smith sidelined for Fifers

East Fife will be without Liam Smith when they host champions-elect Albion Rovers.

Smith has an ankle injury and should be the only absentee for Fifers player-boss Naysmith who, despite the possibility of the visitors winning the title, is only concentrating on his own team.

He said: "I know that our opponents can win the league if they beat us but we want to win the game just as much as we want to hold onto our play-off place.

"We beat them 3-2 at Cliftonhill in our last meeting so we can be confident. If we finish the day in fourth place it will have been a good day's work."

Kyle Turnbull is suspended for Albion but Gary Philips is available after a knock as they look to clinch the third Championship in the club's history.

Rovers player/manager Darren Young said: "We will not be doing anything different as what we have done all season has put us in a good position.

"We are close to getting over the line but we are not there. East Fife have a lot to play for so we cannot get too ahead of ourselves.

"What will be, will be. As long as we play as well as we did against Berwick last Saturday I will be pleased."
