Forfar primed for title ambush
Forfar will add James Dale to the pool of players that will look to snatch the Scottish League One title from Morton with victory over Ayr at Station Park.
Derek Young is out with a knee injury and manager Dick Campbell also looks set to be without Mark Baxter and Stephen Husband, who are both struggling with knocks.
Campbell said: "I have not finalised my team, which is unlike me as I normally have it decided after training on a Thursday.
"We have won seven out of our last nine games so we are confident of getting a win, but getting a win by a few goals will not be easy."
Ayr travel north with a full squad available to manager Ian McCall as they look for the win for different reasons.
The Honest Men are two points ahead of Stenhousemuir in their battle to avoid the relegation play-offs and McCall plans to go for the only result that will guarantee success.
McCall said: "We have to go out and try and win the game.
"If we do that then we are safe. There is no point in looking for a point, we will go and try and get the win.
"But I know that will be difficult as Forfar are on form and have a lot to play for."
