It was the moment many of us have been waiting for a long time. Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez playing together on the same team in front of the Kop.

Their on-pitch pairing could have happened under Kenny Dalglish or Brendan Rodgers but in the end it happened at the Liverpool All-Star Charity match at Anfield.

Before the game the anticipation of seeing them together was high. Many thought Torres would be received badly but it seems all is forgiven.
I've forgiven Torres and I won't be sending Suarez any more I miss you texts. I've finally found closure :) #YNWA

Torres joined Liverpool in 2007 but left to join rivals Chelsea for a whopping £50 million in 2011. While Luis Suarez was afforded a hero’s welcome on his return to Anfield the reaction for Torres was hard to predict. However the duo joined the game together amid huge roars of support.
Getting to see Suarez and Torres play together today was just amazing!

Torres may now be playing for Atletico Madrid and Suarez for Barcelona, but it seems Liverpool fans want them back.
I'd love to have Suarez and Torres back an Anfield, all is forgiven Torres

If Suarez were to return to England, he told the Liverpool Echo he would only play for Liverpool.
The All-Star match saw a Steven Gerrard team play against a Jamie Carragher outfit. The game ended 2-2.
Mario Balotelli and Didier Drogba scored for Carragher’s team, before Stevie G scored twice from the spot.
