Congratulations to Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has been voted the Premier League PFA Fans' Player of the Month for December, beating fellow nominees Adam Lallana (Liverpool), Dimitri Payet (West Ham), Jordan Pickford (Sunderland), Dele Alli (Tottenham) and Cesar Azpilcueta (Chelsea).

The award comes after a brilliant December for the striker who scored five and assisted three in the Premier League and in his own words making his critics "eat their balls." The Swede has also received two Man of the Match nods in the games against West Brom and Sunderland.

The 35-year-old has proven to be one of the most successful signings of recent seasons and the 6ft 5in striker shows no sign of slowing down. With 13 Premier League goals in 19 appearances for the Red Devils he has proven his value and reputation.

“Every year they (Premier League clubs) have been calling me and it was not feeling good, so I wanted to come when everyone thought I was over (the hill).”

Voting is now open for the Sky Bet Championship PFA Fans' Player of the Month for December 2016.
