Steve Morison double makes it five unbeaten for Millwall
A quick-fire first-half double from Steve Morison earned Millwall a comfortable 2-0 victory over Doncaster.
The 32-year-old striker netted his fourth and fifth goals of the season in three-first-half minutes as the home side secured a fifth game unbeaten.
Morison's first arrived after five minutes when he reacted quickest to a poor back-pass and snuck the ball home past Doncaster goalkeeper Thorsten Stuckmann.
And just three minutes later he doubled Millwall's lead as Shane Ferguson sent in a deep free-kick which the Welsh striker powerfully volleyed home.
Next up Aiden O'Brien sprinted down the left before playing a delightful ball for Lee Gregory, but Stuckmann stood tall.
Moments later, Morison should have completed a 30-minute hat-trick after Gregory unselfishly squared, but he swung what should have been a tap-in wide.
The second half was played in the same vein, albeit with less intensity. Darren Ferguson's men threatened through a deflected Harry Forrester free-kick but never seriously tested home keeper Jordan Archer as Millwall comfortably saw the game out.
