Montrose boosted by Matty Allan return ahead of Queen's Park clash

Montrose welcome back on-loan Dundee defender Matty Allan from injury when they host Queen's Park and skipper Paul Watson could make it onto the bench after two months out with a stomach muscle injury.

Missing for the Gable Endies are goalkeeper Jordan Millar, who has a rib injury, as well as Andrew Steeves, Ryan McCord and Terry Masson who all have knee injuries, Adam McWilliam who has an ankle problem and Ryan Kenneth due to illness.

Links Park boss Paul Hegarty said: "Queen's Park are the best side we have faced this season however we managed to beat them and a repeat would be fantastic."

Queen's lost their Petrofac Training Cup semi-final at the weekend to Peterhead and it could be a costly defeat as Scott Gibson picked up a knock and is a doubt.

Jamie McKernon is available despite his dismissal on Saturday and Bryan Wharton returns from suspension however Tony Quinn remains out with a hip injury.

Head coach Gus MacPherson said: "We cannot feel sorry for ourselves. We have not won in the league for four games so it would be great to get the three points and move back up the table.

"If we can convert our chances into goals we have a good chance."
