Stefan McCluskey returns for Morton in time for Hibs test

Morton welcome Stefan McCluskey back to their ranks after a one-game ban as they host Hibernian at Cappielow.

The midfielder missed the cup victory over Albion Rovers but returns in time for the Championship clash with second-placed HIbs.

Knee injuries keep Derek Gaston, Frank McKeown and Peter MacDonald away from the action and, despite playing in an under-20 development game in midweek, neither Ricki Lamie or Romario Sabajo will be risked against the Edinburgh side as they continue their own comebacks.

Manager Jim Duffy said: "We are on a good run thanks to the players' ability to dig in and get a result. They will need to use that resilient approach to a great extent against a Hibs side that are in really good form just now."

Meanwhile, Hibernian have defender Paul Hanlon back from injury but Liam Henderson will remain on the sidelines as he builds his fitness back up following a virus.

Hibs are looking for their 10th consecutive win and head coach Alan Stubbs does not believe a two-week interval between games will knock them off their stride.

Stubbs told HibsTV: "We have managed to win games after breaks and this one is no different. The players were given time off but they all came in for quite a few days when they were entitled to be off. It didn't surprise me.

"They have had their Christmas night out and their minds are back on the job again."
