Vaughan blow rocks Rovers
Raith will be without Lewis Vaughan for the visit of Livingston after a knee injury ruled the midfielder out for the majority of the season.
Lewis Toshney (knee) and Craig Barr (groin) both remain sidelined, while Rovers manager Ray McKinnon is looking for his side to build on wins in the Petrofac Cup and Scottish League Cup.
McKinnon said: "I'm happy with our performances and it would be great to add an opening-day league win to our cup successes.
"Everybody wants to get their league campaign off to a good start and it will not be easy as Livingston will be just as determined."
Livingston head to Stark's Park without injured pair Moses Duckrell (hamstring) and Ryan Currie (foot), while Ben Gordon is suspended.
Ross Millen is also absent, Gary Glen and Danny Mullen both face late fitness tests and new goalkeeper signing Matt Gould is still waiting for international clearance.
Manager Mark Burchill said: "We've had two solid if unspectacular wins over Clyde so far and travel to Kirkcaldy looking to get our league campaign going.
"We had two very good trips there last season where we scored nine times and won twice.
"But it's two very different teams that will fight this out and we cannot read too much into last season."
