Gordon joins Cruickshank tributes

Hearts manager Jim Jefferies and Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon led the tributes for Jim Cruickshank, who has died aged 69.In a 17-year career with Hearts, Cruickshank won six Scotland caps and is remembered fondly at Tynecastle for pulling off a treble save from Hibernian's Joe Davis in 1967 when he stopped a penalty and the two rebounds which followed.Hearts boss Jefferies said on the club's official website, www.heartsfc.co.uk: "This is another sad loss. Jim was the goalkeeper when I first signed for Hearts and he was a top goalie. He was a fantastic shot-stopper and was great at penalties. My thoughts go to his family at this sad time."Gordon, who joined Sunderland from Hearts in August 2007, added: "It was upsetting to hear the news."People always talk about how Hearts has had a tradition of producing good goalkeepers and Jim Cruickshank was undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best keeper to play for the club."
