Hamilton V St Johnstone - view commentary, squad, and statistics of the game live.Ziggy Gordon: I'll play wherever Hamilton need meZiggy Gordon is happy to play wherever needed as Hamilton prepare for a defensive reshuffle - but his willingness to put the team first is nothing unusual at New Douglas Park. With Michael Devlin still injured and Lucas Tagliapietra suspended for the visit of St Johnstone, Gordon might be moved from right-back into the centre. He said: "I'm happy to play wherever I'm needed. I've played 40 games at left-back, 70 games at right-back, and a good 25 at centre-back. So it doesn't really mean anything."I think I even played centre-mid one time. Obviously that didn't work out very well. I don't really care, as long as I play."I think we're quite lucky here because all the boys are really down to earth. There's no-one who thinks they are better than another person and no-one really criticises everyone. The new boys have come in and have a good attitude and they are very good players."Accies showed their character in the past two weeks, coming back to earn draws against Dundee and Partick Thistle despite going down to 10 men in both matches."It's a real tight-knit squad," Gordon said. "Everyone looks after each other and everyone works for each other, so it's no surprise that when we have gone down to 10 men in two games that we have shown a real positive attitude towards it."Despite missing Devlin and Tagliapietra, midfielder Ali Crawford will return after missing the draw with Partick Thistle with a groin injury but Darian MacKinnon is suspended while Darren Lyon (knee) and Danny Redmond (hamstring) are still out.St Johnstone forward Chris Kane, meanwhile, hopes a midweek League Cup strike will tempt manager Tommy Wright to start him against fifth-placed Hamilton. The 21-year-old secured the Perth club's passage to a January semi-final with the last goal in a 3-1 win over Morton after being rolled in by in-form Scotland hopeful Michael O'Halloran. It was his first of the season and Kane hopes it leads to more chances: "It was a big relief to get that first goal of the season. That is my first since Aberdeen on the final day of last season," said the homegrown talent."It was a good time to come on because we were 2-1 up and we weren't chasing for a goal. I felt relaxed and really up for it. Mikey played me in and I put it away."Hopefully I will get a few more now and sooner rather than later."With the league's top scorer, Steve MacLean, unable to play on artificial pitches as he protects a fragile knee, Wright can pick between mobile Kane and former Motherwell centre-forward John Sutton if he wants a partner for Irish attacker Graham Cummins.Skipper Dave Mackay remains suspended, though, while midfielder Chris Millar is ruled out again by a hamstring strain but should return to action the following weekend.Kane admits it has been frustrating waiting for a start, but he can understand why Wright has stuck with the prolific partnership forged by MacLean and Cummins. He said: "Folk have been asking if I am getting annoyed at not getting a start. But Macca and Graham have been playing really well and scoring goals."I just have to bide my time and take chances when they come along, like I did against Morton. Hopefully that helps my cause when the manager is ready to play me."
