Kyle Walker Jokes About Raheem Sterling's Running Style & Gives Verdict on Man City's Fastest

Things that will probably help you get through another Sunday in isolation: an extra hour in bed; a long shower; a greasy fry-up breakfast; a fresh coffee.

Things that probably won't help whatsoever: Kyle Walker doing a dodgy impression of Raheem Sterling running.

90min can't help with any of the former, however, so Walker will have to do.

Sterling has always looked a little unorthodox when going at full speed, and speaking to Sky Sports' Instagram, Walker took aim at his signature style in a fashion that is certainly unique.

The right-back also reckons he's quicker than Sterling, with Leroy Sané his only equal in the City dressing room.

"He's bad isn't he, how he runs?" he said of Sterling. "I mean he's really quick but his technique's awful. But he's a good player so I can't really complain.

"He does say he's quicker than me, but maybe the next time you speak to him, maybe he can tell you himself who won in the race we had."

When asked to elaborate on the race, and if he is 'officially' City's quickest player, he went on: "We had a semi-race and there was only one winner.

"Leroy wasn't there, unfortunately. I've always said it's between me and Leroy. Raheem first 10, 20, yeah, but after that his technique starts going everywhere."

In a not-so-grand finale in which he waved his arms around chaotically, a gleeful yet needlessly expressive Walker said: "He goes from this, to this, just getting it to the line."

It's not the first time Sterling has had to endure (light-hearted) jabs from his own teammates about his unique sprinting style.

Responding to a fan tweet which compared the winger's run to a goose last year, Sterling admitted it was 'accurate af' - before Benjamin Mendy weighed in with a T-rex emoji.

Sterling, astonishingly, is yet to score a competitive goal in 2020, and after another scathing attack on his pride, he might need to come back hard here in order to save face.
