Rob Purdie is an experienced player who re-joined Hereford United in 2011 after a loan spell at Edgar Street. Rob is a versatile player who has mainly been used as a full back but has also appeared both in midfield and in an attacking role during his career. He started out as a youngster at Leicester City before joining Hereford. Rob made over 200 appearances for the Bulls before signing for Darlington. He was later at Oldham Athletic but his time at Boundary Park was restricted by injury and once fit he found himself out of favour. Rob went back to Hereford on loan in October 2010 and scored two goals in his first game which saw the Bulls win 5-0 at Hereford. He then appeared regularly for the club to the end of the 2010-11 season.
